Uploading photoshop edited pictures to the internet?

I'v edited a picture on adobe photoshop elements 6 and it wont upload to the internet on websites like bebo and myspace . When i browse for it to upload it on bebo, it dosent show up where its saved or on myspace when i try to upload it , it shows up when i browse for it but it doesnt let me upload it . try reszing the photo and use the save for web feature. Resize to 500 pixels on the longest side. Then use save for web. I suspect the photo is too large a file siaze.
Make sure when you save the picture it's not on a photoshop file it's on a jpg or jpeg.
Make sure you saved it as a picture format ( jpeg, bmp, png etc.) You probably only saved it as a project
Make sure that it's in the right format. jpeg is best
