What is the best way to design a flyer for my business in photoshop...?

what is the procedure for designing for print? what size,format etc should i ideally use? i will be giving the flyer to professional printers once it is done....anything i should keep in mind like use cmyk or dpi or any such thing? please help...thanksWhat is the best way to design a flyer for my business in photoshop...?
Hmmm, you might be better off with Illustrator (download trial from adobe.com) - then you don't have to worry about dpi and such like (and yes, keep it CMYK).


Just start with a suitable page size when you create a new doc, maybe A5 or DL, and make sure you use as high res photos as possible. Have a look at some existing flyers (try google images) and see about layouts, fonts, headings etc.


And always ';print to PDF'; (high res) when supplying a printer or they get pissy if you send them anything else.What is the best way to design a flyer for my business in photoshop...?
You might want to go to the source - your professional printer, and ask him what he needs in the way of sizing, formats, etc. Photoshop may not be the best program to use for print - whereas Publisher might be.
